Severe waterlogging was also seen in parts of Bhilwara after incessant heavy rainfall.
Four children drowned in a pit filled with rain water in Jodhpur, police said.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot condoled the loss of lives in the accident. Taking to Twitter, Gehlot said that the family of each deceased will be given Rs five lakh under the Chiranjeevi Accident insurance scheme, adding that the child who survived will be given an assistance amount of Rs 20,000 from chief minister’s relief fund.
He also appealed to people to stay alert in the monsoon season.

WEATHER OFFICE PREDICTION
According to the MeT department, heavy to very heavy rains lashed several parts of Chittorgarh, Jaipur, Ajmer, Sawai Madhopur, Rajsamand, Dungarpur, Banswara, Kota, Sirohi, Jodhpur, Pali, Nagaur and Jalore districts on Tuesday.

Followed by Bhilwara was Chittorgarh, which received 18 cm of rainfall, an India Meteorological Department official said.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility of a gradual decrease in monsoon activities in some parts of the state from July 28-29.
